About this market
ContextThis is a market on whether any COVID-19 vaccination will receive regulatory approval, in the form of either FDA approval or Emergency Use Authorization, for use by children under 12 years of age before November 1, 2021, at 12:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to “Yes” if any COVID-19 vaccine for young children receives FDA approval or EUA prior to the resolution date, November 1, 2021, at 12:00 PM ET, and "No" otherwise. This market will be resolved according to the FDA list of licensed vaccines (https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/vaccines-licensed-use-united-states), the FDA EUA list (https://www.fda.gov/emergency-preparedness-and-response/mcm-legal-regulatory-and-policy-framework/emergency-use-authorization), and the FDA recommendations for particular age groups (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/specific-groups.html). If these sources are not sufficient to resolve the market, credible news agencies will serve as a substitute.
How trading works
Polymarket uses a central limit order book (CLOB) model — you can buy or sell shares of any outcome at the current market price, or place limit orders at your target price. All positions are settled in USDC when the market resolves.
Resolution
Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.
