About this market
ContextThis is a market on who will win in the First Round, Game 2, NBA Playoff matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks, scheduled to take place at 10:30 PM ET May 25, 2021. This market will resolve to “Clippers” if the Los Angeles Clippers win, and “Mavericks” if the Dallas Mavericks win. If the match is postponed to a date on or before June 1, 2021, 10:30 PM ET, the same market conditions will apply. If the match is postponed to a date after June 1, 2021, 10:30 PM ET or cancelled altogether, the market will resolve 50-50. In the event of ambiguity in terms of the market outcome, the market will be resolved in good faith at the sole discretion of the Markets Integrity Committee (MIC).
How trading works
Polymarket uses a central limit order book (CLOB) model — you can buy or sell shares of any outcome at the current market price, or place limit orders at your target price. All positions are settled in USDC when the market resolves.
Resolution
Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.
