About this market

Context

This market will resolve to “Yes” if Marine Le Pen wins second place in the first round of the 2022 French Presidential election. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. If no election occurs in 2022, then this market will resolve “No”. The first round of the 2022 French presidential election will be held on April 10, 2022. Should no candidate win a majority of the vote in the first round of the 2022 French presidential election, the 2nd place candidate as determined by election rules will be used. If there is a tie for the 2nd place position in the first round of the 2022 French presidential election and Marine Le Pen is in a 2nd place position, this market will resolve to "Yes". The main resolution sources for this market will be https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/ and https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/, however credible media reports will also be used.

How trading works

Polymarket uses a central limit order book (CLOB) model — you can buy or sell shares of any outcome at the current market price, or place limit orders at your target price. All positions are settled in USDC when the market resolves.

Resolution

Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.
