About this market
ContextThis is a market on whether a team from a “minor” region will get out of the play-in stage and reach the group stage of the League of Legends 2021 World Championship. The play-in stage runs from October 5, 2021, to October 9, 2021, and you can find more information on its process at this address: https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2021/Play-In For the purpose of this bet, a “minor” region is one of the following six : the LJL (Japan) ; the TCL (Turkey) ; the LLA (Latin America) ; the LCO (Australia) ; the CBLOL (Brazil) and the LCL (Russia). If at least one team from these regions qualifies for the group stage, the market will resolve “Yes”. Otherwise, the market will resolve “No”. If the play-in stage is postponed to a date on or before October 30, 2021, the same market conditions will apply. If the play-in stage is postponed to a date after October 30, 2021, or cancelled altogether, the market will resolve 50-50.
How trading works
Polymarket uses a central limit order book (CLOB) model — you can buy or sell shares of any outcome at the current market price, or place limit orders at your target price. All positions are settled in USDC when the market resolves.
Resolution
Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.
