About this market
ContextThis is a market on who will win the 43rd Golf Ryder Cup, which is scheduled to be held on September 24-26, 2021 at the Whistling Straits golf course in Kohler, Wisconsin. The current champion Europe is playing vs. the challenger, the United States. The tournament consists of 28 matches all worth up to one point. To win the Ryder Cup outright, a team must collect 14 ½ of the 28 points available. In the case of a 14-14 draw, the winning team from the previous Ryder Cup retains the trophy. If the U.S. wins, this market will resolve to “U.S.” If Europe wins, this market will resolve to “Europe.” If the competition is tied 14-14 the market will resolve to “Europe,” as they were the winners of the 42nd Ryder Cup. If the tournament is canceled the market will resolve 50/50.
How trading works

Resolution
Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.
